6 + 2 Point Deductions

We haven't got a case though.

We have already admitted to breaching PSR.

Our argument is entirely regarding how much we breached it by. The thing is our arguments have more holes than a swiss cheese. Firstly we are trying to claim the 4% transfer levy should be classed as youth development. The transfer levy goes to players' pensions with any excess going to the professional game youth fund. So it is absolute nonsense to try and claim the 4% for PSR purposes.

Then we get to the Stadium interest payments. We are trying to claim interest when Club documents show the Stadium is being funded interest-free.

We are not allowed to enter any fresh evidence for the appeal. All we can do is try and show the decisions the Independent panel made were legally flawed. We haven't got a hope. We are being conned by the board again.
Why are you in this forum again? You take great glee in all of this. You clearly don't support Everton. We actually said we were compliant to start with and only changed to pleading guilty AFTER the PL changed what they already told us which left us with no choice. That's all in the report too. But I guess that doesn't fit your narrative and hoping Everton go out of business.

They've been working with us for a couple kf years apparently, in that time we've hardly spent and anything we have spent had been funded by sales.

Totally ilogical to think we could sell players without replacing them, the whole system is flawed.

The way I see it is, teams like us must make sure almost every signing we make.works out because if it doesn't we are risking FFP, whereas city, Chelsea, United etc can make mistakes over and over and over again because they have bigger revenues. Not all signings work our, we absolutely took the piss with some of our signings and didn't help ourselves, but it's just not a fair system.

It will be scrapped soon enough

It’s not making sure almost every signing works …

It’s he fact we spent big on probably 15 players that left for nothing. They were disasters from a business point of view.

All teams make bad signings Not all teams make 15 disasters and only about 3 good ones

they took 9 months to get back to us on asking about spend. if you read the report they did this over a phone call to with not offical documentation of it either

No doubt they could be better , I mean look at the state of var , rules , etc

But we were losing more than the entire 3 year allowance every year .. we must have known and the signings we made and their contracts were so big, that we couldn’t sell any of them we are 100% to blame .

The rules are the same for everyone .

I hate the fa or premiere league but we have been absolutely stupid with our decisions for a number of years

Why are you engaging him
Ignore function is there for a reason

If we didn't build a stadium we'd be fine too

If we didn't start dive bombing in the league post Carlo and spent tens of millions sacking managers, we'd be fine too.

My main point is that over the last few years if you just looked solely at transfers of players, we've balanced that out. If we didn't have the stadium situation we'd be under.

At the moment though the biggest issue the PL and the club have is payments involving the stadium.

And I've said before, if it was solely poor transfer business, I'd accept everything we get. But it isn't.

Dive bombing in the league and sacking managers is down to poor performance. Largely down to poor players , from poor recruitment .

Correct. He’s also the multi of formerly banned known Kopite poster @Baileyjon

Trivia for those of a certain vintage…the DCMS committee chair, Caroline Dinenage, is the daughter of Fred of “How” and World of Sport fame.
Very appropriate, considering that the entire committee must now be thinking "HOW did this utter cretin become the PL's chief exec?"

Well the answer's simple actually - three (presumably smarter, better-qualified) other candidates were offered the role and turned it down.
