It's also strange that we are seemingly the only club who has tried to buy some players to maybe do a bit better in the league. Like it's unheard of.
Nottingham Forest bought 500 players in the summer between Championship and Premier League. I'll be interested to see their 3 year accounts if they stay up twice more.
Sporting advantage? Two years and counting...
Leicester broke FFP to get promoted, paid out a 3 mil settlement to the EFL and won the premier league 2 years later. They never argued then that somebody else should have been promoted in their place. Why are they angry now?
Sporting advantage? They won the PL and got to quarters of the UCL.
Yes we bought a lot of dross, but there's too much spin already that we've somehow cheated the game, but sporting advantage?
We beat United 4-0 and we went on a run to avoid relegation. And we had glitzy managers who couldnt remember the postcode of the training ground.
I've seen Simon Jordan spouting off his opinion on Everton breaching FFP, it's all over my Internet, when a simple tap on the shoulder would tell him Everton never broke FFP and that world's loudest fake tan is already taken by that American feller.
We are also the only club building a stadium right now, and them changing the rules on stadium interest after we took the loan is somehow not newsworthy. And then applying that new rule retrospectively to our loan, well, even the Tories haven't done that yet with any of their new laws.
Shall we go back to Daniel Levy and add the interest on his £900m stadium onto his club's accounts this year? Wonder what he would say about that.
Anyone who can argue we've had a sporting advantage is a legal genius, no doubt. I don't believe it's possible. We've been cack for years now. Its football. It's a game. Or it's meant to be.
