6 + 2 Point Deductions

there is a very dull graphic on a very short explanation if you scroll down on their home page
Not even worthy of headline news on there. Either embarrassment about it or disdain for us

They are trying to move on quickly. Lets not let them
Thanks, I hadn't seen it. It's almost like they've taken legal advice to say nothing, isn't it!

It's also strange that we are seemingly the only club who has tried to buy some players to maybe do a bit better in the league. Like it's unheard of.
Nottingham Forest bought 500 players in the summer between Championship and Premier League. I'll be interested to see their 3 year accounts if they stay up twice more.
Sporting advantage? Two years and counting...

Leicester broke FFP to get promoted, paid out a 3 mil settlement to the EFL and won the premier league 2 years later. They never argued then that somebody else should have been promoted in their place. Why are they angry now?
Sporting advantage? They won the PL and got to quarters of the UCL.

Yes we bought a lot of dross, but there's too much spin already that we've somehow cheated the game, but sporting advantage?
We beat United 4-0 and we went on a run to avoid relegation. And we had glitzy managers who couldnt remember the postcode of the training ground.

I've seen Simon Jordan spouting off his opinion on Everton breaching FFP, it's all over my Internet, when a simple tap on the shoulder would tell him Everton never broke FFP and that world's loudest fake tan is already taken by that American feller.

We are also the only club building a stadium right now, and them changing the rules on stadium interest after we took the loan is somehow not newsworthy. And then applying that new rule retrospectively to our loan, well, even the Tories haven't done that yet with any of their new laws.
Shall we go back to Daniel Levy and add the interest on his £900m stadium onto his club's accounts this year? Wonder what he would say about that.

Anyone who can argue we've had a sporting advantage is a legal genius, no doubt. I don't believe it's possible. We've been cack for years now. Its football. It's a game. Or it's meant to be.
this is a good statement.

I completely agree mate.

What hasn't helped us in the run up to this has been the lack of any competent leadership from the club. There's been no one accountable for the club in terms of defending it. No leader. They let us down badly in that respect and the PL must have been rubbing heir hands at going for a defenceless organisation splintered from top to bottom.

Well I think they'll see unity at the weekend and until the rest of the season. We'll close ranks and act as one and come out fighting. We have to take the fight to them and embarrass them and their 'product' and keep doing it until they relent and at least take some of this punishment away.

We could easily end up losing about 6 league places because of it, that will be 12 mill. That’s pretty close to what the scab six had to pay as a combined fine. That’s in addition to the most penal points deduction in PL history, and comes on top of 3 seasons of selling our best players and two relegation battles.

We need to learn our lesson though about a 19 mill overspend.
The PL go can go [Poor language removed] themselves. Farhad too. He is the cancer of the club . Broke the rules and for what?! Incompetent bell somehow made us worse on and off the pitch

If I have this right how on earth is financial fair play anywhere proportionaly fair if you get a 10 point deduction for being 19.5m over the max allowance while if you are say for example 200m over the max its no more than a 12 point deduction

Incredibly: no Dan Carden the MP for Walton.

That little get better sign up for that.
Ian Lavery is my MP. Glad he has already signed it before I have to contact him about it. (A little surprised considering we are up north of Newcastle even though I think he is good friends with McDonnell)

The equivalent to doing 32 in a 30 zone, being pulled over, admitting it to the copper, and then getting a 10 year jail sentence starting immediately because as you were admitting it they just changed any rules setting punishment to whatever they wanted. Yes some people will say that you were still speeding but the key difference is if you knew that even going slightly over the speed limit carried an instant jail term you’d never do it.
