There’s a few intangibles though I guess, which doesn’t exactly make for a strong case still…..
Arguments they could use are they abided the regs and had they not, they could have
A) beat us twice, gaining them 6 points and reducing the deficit to 4 points as we would lose also be 6 points worse off
B) only breached PSR 1 therefore only getting a 6 points penalty (putting them 10 points off is)
C) having improved the team beyond PSR limits, they could have won 3 more matches leaving them 2 points above us.
D) Argue that had we not breached PSR we wouldn’t have been so far clear and might not have beaten them twice or had some of the other wins or draws etc (assuming we did - cba checking!)


All very hypothetical / speculative, but just that’s the point, it’s hard to say what could or would have happened and likely why they are trying to sue.

Not our Fault the league punished us when they did, in what season they said. We have already received way to much. It's the prem League Burnley should go to, if anyone not us. Also thought that Laurence Rabinowitz KC didnt do as well as was made out in his last appearance for us. So maybe would have made a new signing instead of him

I think his hands were tied from the word go after that absolute loser Moshiri had already gone in and told them we needed to buy a midfield. It was all about limiting damage from that point on.

Super Silk was previously up against the PL’s own little kangaroo court, this case with Burnley will be in a proper court dealing with commercial matters.

Actually that absolutely will happen. We’ll be the only club ever to get 2 points deductions in one season then be successfully sued for same “crime”. Avenue closed off for everyone else once it’s done

You might claim but you cannot directly prove that "A caused B" in this instance. If that was the case every club would have a claim against Everton and Forest. Then there would be counter claims against the Premier League.

I'm really surprised Burnley are wasting time and legal fees on this.

I say all the above as a layman, but if there was any merit in Burnleys claim then it would explode the foundations of the league from top to bottom.
