6 + 2 Point Deductions

Just seen on the EFL website some statement waffling on some nonsense about rule 2.9 or whatever that says they will not take whatever action it is based on their “independent” team flagging financial issues at Leicester.

Let me get this straight… the same EFL that the PL adopted certain rules/measures to hammer us with?

But yet although the EFL say that Leicester are ok to carry on with no action taken, they could be impacted by the PL if they get promoted?

What a sorry state of affairs and more shambolic than anything those idiots in Westminster could dream up.

Ideally the more clubs like villa who get dragged into this the better but the reality is that they will change the rules, brush under the carpet and try to forget that we have been treated the way we have.

If the rules are “not fit for purpose” and are going to be changed then you shouldn’t be handing out penalties for rules that you say don’t fit or work.

If the club had some sort of sensible person in charge with a back bone then we should be going to war on this, not sending out some wet statement from Colin the crab saying we accept the reduction and enjoyed our bellies being tickled for not intentionally being financially illiterate.

How are likes of Bournemouth and West Ham not close to a breach?

Wonder what clubs signed up to this ?

And why ?

It’s so obvious it’s there to protect a select few clubs
In the end, it was a close-run thing. For the proposal to be passed, two-thirds (66.67%) of votes cast had to support the change. In the end, six clubs voted against and one club abstained meaning 68.4% voted for the change. The clubs that voted against the changes were:

Against: Man City, Fulham, Aston Villa, West Brom, Swansea, Southampton.

Abstained: Reading abstained

Everton voted for it.

Everton voted for it and all that pops into my head is an image of Kenwright and his "what would Everton do" comment.

They're not the problem though are they?

The problem is FFP and the clear issues it's causing everyone bar the big 6.

Actually it is a big problem that other fans were cheering on the rules when we were being punished. We tried warning them that they’d be coming for them next, but they didn’t want to know.

Football fans generally have the IQ of a chimp. If fans in this country actually got together and stood up to the powers that be we could get an awful lot resolved. But people are only interested in sitting in their little tribes and laughing at others’ misfortune. Well if that’s the game they want to play then I’m happy to play along and laugh at them from the other side of the glass now.
