5 years ago today we lost a Legend and our Greatest manager

I lost my dad to cancer, a childhood friend to sudden heart failure and one of my Heroes in Howard Kendall, all within a matter weeks in 2015.

That was one of the toughest periods of life I have ever had to endure.

Make them all proud today Everton.

Always be fondly remembered. He wasn't just a manager , he is part of everton's DNA now.

Speaks volumes when even now we can tell our kids how great he was, that day against united was just wierd. It was almost like noone cares about the game that day and it showed .

The man just oozed class. Never slated the opposition or referees. Had a demeanour about him even when things were going wrong that said it's ok I've got this. It devastated me the day he died and I'm even telling up now writing this. RIP Howard you'll always be my hero

I picked a great time to join the army...1984-1989, missed out on everything...got to watch the Cup Winners Cup final in some seedy pub in Germany!

Besides the memories he gave,which will stay with me until my dying days,the thing that stands out is how much he was loved by his players,by other people in the game,ask Blackburn,Preston,Stoke etc how they feel about him and you dont hear a bad word from anybody,that,as much as his success shows you the kind of person he was

briefly met him. used to play Sunday league against his lad. think it was formby juniors he played for. Howard was kind enough to sign my scarf. seemed like a nice guy and was very supportive of his son on the sidelines
