Yes. For sure, even without the CL teams winning stuff. It could even go to 7th and possibly 8th.

Associations ranked 7–9 in the UEFA coefficients will send the Cup winner and three other teams to the UEFA Europa League qualification.

No. Its like the press that keep saying Arsenal are still in the title race when they clearly arent.

Arsenal have class and match winners, Villa play to their strength and have pace. We have a small squad that will be hit by fatigue at some point.

Valliant effort but its really out of our hands if it comes to that.

why should our squad be hit by fatigue, so far we've only played 5 games on top of the regulation league games. Its a standard season for th boys who played 50 odd matches last season...
Villa and the arse are still also in F.A and european cups, they will fatigue alot more and both have equally as thin, if not thinner squads at the moment.

i notice fulham have crept up the table a bit, i do hope our last match at craven cottage doesn't turn out to be a decider for a european spot .

Every team is hit by fatigue - Cahill looked ****ed today and against Arsenal, probably down to the fact we've played rock hard games the past few weeks.

Villa and the Arse have bigger squads and better quality on the benches so when fatigue hits they can chop and change, change tactics, have options, etc.

We'll have to blood youth players and chance others if we get stretched so getting 4th is a big step IMO.

Fulham, Spurs, Shiteh, Wigan are all bogey teams IMO. Just as well we've got them at home........I think.

got fulham away, which is never good. no win there since '66. the others are all at home, hopefully by the time we play them they'll have nothing to play for and will be looking towards the summer break.

Of course we can do it . After watching us today I fear no one and there is unfinished business with Villa

Beating Villa this season would be almost as satisfying as beating the [Poor language removed] on Wednesday.

Just watching the Villa hightlights and apart from the 15 times Wigan cleared the ball from the line, its all hoof-hoof-hoof run, run, run....we can have them!!!

hopefully we'll get to beat villa twice before the season's over!

fatigue will have no more influence on us than anyone else imo. i think 4th is still a possibility (slight) but at least we look like giving it a good go

2 freak mistakes in a week have cost 4 points. look at these few games, i reckon we'll tonk them all. our squad looks tired rite now cos we've played liverpool twice arsenal and utd, moyes didn't really have an option there to make changes by risking the kids, only jack and dan got a bit of playing time. we'll come good, i predict we'll only lose 3 more games this season in the league, chelsea (a) city (h) fulham (a).
keep believing peeps.

I hope you're right but I think the players are knackered, not just physically but mentally after two derby games, Arsenal and Man U with another high pressure game to come.
The game on Wednesday carries more expectation that the previous derbys, with us being at home, the pressure is on to get a result.
I've got my ticket for Wednesday but I'm not sure whether I can cope with going.:(
