The 2007/08 campaign started in similar fashion for the Dutchman and he was subsequently suspended. The unfortunate winger never managed to get closer than a place on the substitutes' bench throughout the season - largely due to injuries.

Thats quite scary that!! we need numbers in badly Top signings an squad players. This is why i dont think we'll spend 15m on a player this summer. We need a big squad to fight on all fronts.

I'm ashamed to say I'm not feeling to comfy on the way things are being bandied around in the press. Just the impression we are having a limited fire sale isn't what I envisioned. Sell AJ for working funds isn't my own idea of what should be done. But i'm trusting Moyes knows his business and has been given a green light on one or two key signings before we offload anyone else.

While numbers are sparse i'd rather have him here than not at all.

Scary too look at that squad, take the 2 young keepers out and weve got howard, take the 3 kids out of defence and weve only got 6 for 4 postions there, then 5 midfileders for 4 postions 1 of whom is neville and the injury prone cahill aswell then 4 strikers 1 of whom is vaughan who is injury prone, time too worry me thinks. Deffo need abar 6-7 players just too make the squad look ok.

We don't need more keepers. Ian Turner is 24 but John Rudy is 21 and is better than Turner. Rudy has a good future ahead of him.
