Sagnol is a bit old isn't he?

If we're going to buy a right back it should be someone young like Baines but on the other side.

Hard to say.

I like 4-4-2 against the lesser teams and then 4-5-1 against some of the stronger teams.

Agreed with that. We can be flexible. Perhaps to keep it tight against the Manure's, Chelski's and Arsenals (perhaps even.....them) but against lower league opposition, we can be a bit mroe adventurous

I like the concept of of a 4-5-1 were i feel we fall down is that we have littel or no goal threat coming from the wings on a break, in playing this system i think you need two wingers/strikers who are able to be tricky on the wing, send in clever balls but also be able to break quickly and close in on goal to turn the one in to a three, as good and all as i think arteta and pienaar are i dont think they are these type of players more playmakers. Not asking for much am i!

I always feel a bit gutted when I see us line up with a 451, I know we've had a certain amount of success using it, but nevertheless its always a bit negative fielding only one guy who's job it is to score the goals.

There was a time when teams fielded 4 strikers at certain points, can you imagine that now?

Don't know why people want Lescott at left back, he's terrible at LB.

I dont think so, he does have some skill even though it doesnt suit him, hes got some pace too...The only problem is he cant cross well, but theres nothing like seeing Lescott rip a player

He may be abit better At CB, but whilst we have Jagielka and Yobo in the centre, you may aswell play him on the left...

He's quite a clumsy player and can't take a defender on, nor can he get to the byline and whip a ball in.

Baines can, and Baines should be Everton's first choice left back.

I'd personally drop Jags even though he has been in good form for a while barring a couple of games.

He'll be great against Derby. I just don't think he's brilliant against the top 3 clubs.
