For anyone old enough to remember this we all know where we were when it happened.

This isn't point scoring, btw, but for my money - given its proximity - the PL should have marked this before yesterday's KOs.

The almost forgotten tragedy.

R.I.P. the 39 Italian, Belgian, French and Irish victims.

Fair play mate.

I think it will be more advertised for the 40th anniversary.

I defo used to use it as point scoring but grew up. It’s never sung anymore like it used to.

Couple of throw away paragraphs buried on their site. As with you, not point scoring, but it's disappointing to see.

It's appalling that they still use language like 'events in Block Z'.

A lamentable way of describing what was determined to be manslaughter.

My point here though was that for once a PL campaign ends with the anniversary due and nothing was arranged by that league.

Yeah, it's not a great look using it as ammunition on that lot. We all know how pathetic they've been and the media in covering it properly, but the PL final day games came when the anniversary was due the next day.

The PL think sanctioning 'take the knee' day is more important than remembering the lives of 39 innocent people who went to a game and didn;t come back.

people were convicted for manslaughter so thats exactly what it was. Brushed under the carpet by the establishment club.

It's featured very prominently on their homepage. In no way is it buried.

Whatever people's issues are with the article itself just making stuff up like 'buried' comes across as nothing more than ill informed attempts at points scoring on the back of a truly appalling moment in football history.
