Yeah, people need to realise that small European countries are not benefitting hugely from this expansion. And Europe is still the highest level of the game. Wales not making it is no surprise. The odds were always against. Getting into the top 16 European sides is always a challenge for the smaller nations. For Italy, that's a different matter. Just goes to show that you can bloat as much as you like, but crap big sides are still crap and will find a way to miss out. No loss. This Italian generation is as rank as its government.
