2017-2018 Fixture List

Very Tough start but with new signings and decent finish could do all right

These are the dates when broadcasters will announce what games are on TV in the coming season
July 10 for matches in August and September

August 11 for matches in October and November

October 12 for matches in December and January

Those opening set of fixtures look brutal on paper. It's not just the league fixtures, it's the Europa League fixtures we'll hope to be involved in as well. Damn!

Glad we're playing the RS at home 2nd for a change though.

How likely are these to change? Going to be in Germany for Oktoberfest in Sept, we play at home against Burnley but it's a Saturday. With the Europa, would it most likely be Sunday?

Very tough start that, I'm not buying the 'sure you have to play everyone twice, what difference does it make' line, the season is linear and results change the psychology of how it continues, we go first 5 games without points it could be difficult to gain any confidence and potentially determine our season early on... Obviously if we get through those fixtures with a few wins it has the opposite effect, but I'd imagine every team would prefer a balanced fixture list and avoid month long pile up's of difficult games...

Games that would have to move to Sunday for Europa League if Everton qualify:

at Man Utd (16 Sept)
Burnley (30 Sept)
Arsenal (21 Oct) - this one's moving regardless
Watford (4 Nov)
at Southampton (25 Nov)
at RS (9 Dec)

Oh and City and Chelsea too.

I can fully envisage City being a Monday night.

This. Same happens again roughly round about Christmas. As we found last year after our horror run from October to December it's one thing catching teams, it's a different matter going above them and staying there. We could easily be playing catch up again.

Or we could win all 38! (I'm trying to take a more positive outlook on life)
