Yeah 7th would then take the last europa league spot, Like Fulham did last season

But what if.................

Top 4 is Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and Man City.

Spurs in 5th and Villa in 6th.

The rs in 7th.

Everton in 8th.

Man U or Villa win the carling Cup, Chelsea win the FA Cup.

But the rs win the Europa League.

Europa winners go straight into next years comp i believe so how will that effect things?

What if we finish 7th and they finish 8th but win the Europa?

Do the winners have their own spot or do they take one of their own countries?

From what I've read it looks like they take one of the league qualifying spots from their country. But we are going to win the Europa league and the [Poor language removed] finish 7th and no europe next season for them:D

i would imagine it works like this since thats how the champions league is set up

So there are only three ways to get European football next season:
1. finishing in the top 6.
2. Winning the Europa League.
3. finishing in 7th place with a top 4 team winning the Carling Cup.

That's it right ? or is there any other way ?

Forget fourth.

I still think sixth is a bridge too far to be honest.

Well, after today's debacle, I still stand by my prediction.

This month is only going to get harder and with Pienaar out next match, that can't help. Who knows how long Fellaini is out?
