1 in 15 - not bad eh?

The boys have done well. It will be interesting to see how much longer they can sustain things, with both injuries to key men and the general weight of injuries throughout the squad. If we can maintain our form given all of those circumstances it will be Moyes finest achievement at the club for me.

looking at the up and coming fixtures theres no reason why we cant top last seasons 1 in 18 :-

16 - Blackburn - away (draw)
17 - Boro - f.a cup - (Win) (y)
18 - Stoke - home (Win) (y)(y)
19 - Pompey - away (tough draw)
20 - Wigan - home (win) (y)
21 ???? Arsenal, Man U or Chelski - F.A cup -wembley ..... I'll leave it at that(y)

Some very winable/drawable games don't you think?

since that dreadful performance against wigan the team has really turned the season 'round, starting with the following match at white hart lane this run of 17 matches with only the 2 defeats (aston villa at home & manchester united away) has gizen us a superb 3 months - i just hope we can keep it up for the next 3 months.

Although most of my threads can be bordering on the pessimistic side - (and evertonian disposition) :( :(
I was just checking some statistics from this and last season to but our present form into some perspective and, suprisingingly I realised we are currently in a run of games in which we have only lost to man u away since the villa nightmare at home that equates to 1 defeat in 15 !! :) - which is most impressive (considering Yaks injury etc....)

In our fantastic run last autumn/winter we managed 1 defeat in 18 between villa away in september and united away just before christmas - with the clattenberg(wank*r) derby being our 1 defeat.

I think we would all agree the squad for the first two thirds of last season had much more depth than the one we've had most of this season -
so to conclude in the words of mr forsyth "haven't they done well" (y)

Keep up the good work! (y) and COYBB!!!
Funnily enough, I was looking at the stats last night and didn't look at last season's run but I'm pretty sure we didin't play any of the teams above us. When you consider the fact that in those 17 games since the Wigan debacle we've had Manure, Chelsea, Arse, Villa twice and the rs 3 times aswell as playing at traditionally difficult grounds like whitehart lane and St. James' park, it's even more remarkable.

Yep...Moyes should be Manager of the year without a doubt (y)

It's an exceptional run. If we had had a better start to the season we could have been contesting 2nd/3rd place with the RS and Chelski.

Our form, it has to be repeated, has been built on the solidity of the back four, and the defending throughout the team. I think we have the finest back-four in the league, with players that are young enough that they are still getting better. Baines in particular must be the surely be one of the 2 or 3 most improved players in the Premiership.
