“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

When Allardyce was officially appointed: 13th, points from relegation = 5, points from 7th = 9
Now: 9th, points from relegation = 7, points from 7th = 3

We were 5 points above the relegation places before Allardyce took over, now we're 7, so in his 14 games (and 42 points on offer) in charge we're a massive 2 points better off than before he started.

We may sit in 9th place, and 3 pts from 7th, but even when we couldn't buy a win we somehow still managed to stay 9th, so it may be a tad bit of improvement, but that for me really points to how gash the prem really is this season.

Also, we're as gash now as we were under Koeman and Unsworth, so no improvement there.

Which is why he will most likely be moved on in the Summer.

The way it's portrayed you wouldn't think that we had defeats like the 4-0 at Anfield under Martinez where we faced 37 shots and had 0 on target and got annihilated 4-0. Or the 5-2 to Arsenal earlier in the season under Koeman where we faced 30 shots. Or the 4-1 under Unsworth to a Southampton side who had only scored 9 all season before facing us, then had 17 shots against us and then didn't win a game in the league for over 2 months!

It's easy to make out like most of our problems are down to Allardyce when it's clear that whilst there are a number of problems that he has caused, he has inherited a lot as well.

I agree, and it will cost him his job in the Summer. But the reason we are in the healthier position we are now (this isn't opinion, it is fact) is down to his performance as manager when he first came in. That is what I am giving him credit for because he deserves credit for that.

We now have a chance of European qualification that we didn't have under Koeman or Unsworth managing us this season.

Disingenuous to point out the reality of the situation we were in before he came in, and where we are now, to those who never gave him a chance?

If you quote facts you should only use facts. 13th as has been pointed out in the last few posts and time and time again recently. Hence disingenuous.

£25m a point too if you take into account spending. Genius.

If you look back at the post, that's exactly what I did... I posted 4 'facts', including the 13th position one. Just because 3 of the facts don't support your argument doesn't make them false or make it disingenuous.

A lot of people argue that we 'panicked' unnecessarily in appointing Allardyce. What they never acknowledge by repeating the 13th place, 5 points clear, just won 4-0 line is that Moshiri had made his decision before that. When Moshiri decided enough was enough and he needed to act, we were 17th, 2 points above the drop, had just lost 5 in 7, conceded 9 in 2 games and had the worst defensive record in the league.

Did you miss the Arsenal game?
