“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

It's more a case of backwards as a whole from where we was at the start of the season, £140m spent in the Summer, coming off the back of a good first season for Koeman, talk of challenging for a top 6 place, thoughts of having a good chance of a Europa league run, instead we find ourselves where we are now, gash, and a hoof ball merchant in charge.
And yet we’ve risen up the table since he arrived.

Allardyce is going to lead us to silverware and there will be a reckoning. Beware false contintental prophets and kneel before the one true god
he will keep us up, win silverware, the season after we will look like contenders, then he will start signing crap rightbacks, refuse to play wingers and storm out when mosh refuses to sign some random norwegian striker

Give me the 13 points from 15, winning games and not getting humiliated since he was officially appointed manager over the embarrassing defeats in Europe and hammerings we took in the league under the last 2 managers - former European Cup winner Ronald Koeman and David 'bleeds blue' Unsworth.

Harsh on Unsworth that mate.
The players didn't like Koeman or his tactics and effectively stopped playing for him and continued that when Unsworth took over. Allerdyce was at Goodison for the West Ham game and announced manager the next day. I think that the players knew that Allerdyce would be the new manager and as such might not be going anywhere for the forseeable future, and that he was unlikely to put up with any of their dissent especially with a transfer window looming.
If you want to apportion blame have a closer look at some of our so called professional players, who have amazingly re-discovered that they can play football after all, but not so long ago were quite happy to leave the club and supporters in the [Poor language removed]. I mean its not like the money is crap is it?

There's the rub. I support Everton, always have, always will. I'll watch on the box or the net, but I won't go whilst he is there. As oft stated, it is not about his football but about the man himself.

People will make me (and others) out to be some sort of internet warrior but I am perfectly happy with my own actions and my own conscience. It is SFA to do with anyone else. Can't say I am not missing going to the game, because it is a huge wrench and I know the only person suffering is me.

I still won't go until he is gone, along with his acolytes.

Can't speak for anyone else, and, while I don't agree with you, I can totally respect where you're coming from.

Mate.

You are well and truly entitled to your opinion on the manager and I would never dream of taking you to task on it.

I personally have been against Allardyce from the start for various reasons, and so far he has proved me wrong as regards some of my concerns, and long may that continue.

However I believe you should draw the line at passing judgement on what/who is a proper, or real, or true fan. You havr absolutely no right whatsoever to judge other blues. Its just wrong in my book and I'm frankly surprised at you as you're one if the last people on here I expected such condescension from.

I think you are misunderstanding my position on this matter, Barney

I have said that I do not believe people who come on the internet claiming they will no longer be attending games because this fellow or that fellow has been appointed manager.

What I have said is that those whom have said as much are very infrequent visitors to The Park, if the6 ever attend at all.

And I base this on the fact that several people swore to me they would not be back at the game while Sam is there.....but I have seen each and every one of them at Goodison or in its environs in the two home games Sam has been here.

Regarding me “passing judgement” on what makes a “proper, or real, or true fan” I make no apolologies for saying that anyone who wants us to do badly just so they can be proven right about a manager they dislike does not fall into that category.

It is just bonkers.....I hope you agree with me on that.

Show me a fan who thinks like this then you should be dismissing him or her with the same “condescension” you accuse me off.

If you cannot support the manager then at least support your team.

One season...with moyes's established defence.....and an end of season throwing away a champions league place. But I dont care particularly how we get results atm....we are winning and not conceeding. Also SA has kept faith with youngsters like Jonjoe, DCL, Holgate, etc which is great to see...these lads could be part of a better future for EFC.

Again.

You are not getting the point.

The question was “when did we last play scintillating football and who was the manager”.

It doesn’t matter if it was only for one season....the answer is three years ago, under Bobby.

Simple as.

Well you are wrong frandel, the answer is last season versus City.

All these people now "not getting the point".

It's as if someone got caught slating the fans, shown their hypocrisy and is now claiming we have all misunderstood all along.

Unseemly and possibly even unsavoury.

That excellent Everton Musings video from that match, and the Schneiderlin compilation.

All the same season.

What was that snide comment about "stop digging" from a few pages back? :coffee:

Allardyce, unpalatable, but here he is. I am sad about it and will review my opinion at the end of the season.

It is a very strange one mein MoutsMemoryFrandel.

And this is why the Allardyce Revisited thread is so meffy. How can anyone have totally changed their opinion in three weeks??? But even worse is trying to slate fans who have maintained their stance

He's our manager now, so we support him and little sam (he's surprised me, or he's a good actor, by the way he is on the touchline).
Like we didn't think Unsworth would get the job, I doubt he'll stay until next season but, who knows?
We'll finish 7th (as we would've anyway), so it depends on winning the FA Cup and/or people not being bothered about the style of play, as long as we can 'put up a good fight' against the better teams.
