“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Good man, Orly.

It is good to know you pay attention to ol’ Khal’s posts ;)

Now, you might note that never once during those posts did I state that I would never go the game while Sam was in charge.

That is because I have been going, through thick, thin and even thinner for half a century and I know that proper fans go the game whether they fancy the manager or not.

Just for the sake of consistency though......not to mention your own integrity....you should not just stop at posts which fit into your own blinkered narrative.

Why not carry on quoting......

You see Orly, that is what proper fans do.

During the manager hunt we discuss the merits of the candidates, we argue, we rant, we rave and be bore the nuts of each other.

But when the deal is done and the die is cast, we accept the new manager, welcome him, give him a clean slate and wish him well.

We do not behave like petulant little keyboard warriors, chuck our toys out the pram and make fools of ourselves by selectively quoting a fellow in a failed effort to score points.

Especially when the person you try to belittle can remember what he posted almost as well as you can

And he can hang your words right round your neck.
Mate.

You are well and truly entitled to your opinion on the manager and I would never dream of taking you to task on it.

I personally have been against Allardyce from the start for various reasons, and so far he has proved me wrong as regards some of my concerns, and long may that continue.

However I believe you should draw the line at passing judgement on what/who is a proper, or real, or true fan. You havr absolutely no right whatsoever to judge other blues. Its just wrong in my book and I'm frankly surprised at you as you're one if the last people on here I expected such condescension from.

Absolutely mate, he's long peddled this 'one of the good guys' stuff, but he's gone in from behind and slipped a metaphorical blade between the rib and shoulder pit here on genuine concerned Evertonians here - despite having a full track record of Allardyce Angst. Mocking people for the very concerns he once had himself... but didn't have the guts to stick with.

Shameful.

That wasn't the question you posed.

You asked when was "the last time we played scintillating football" and which manager it was played under :)

Three years ago under Bobby.....;)
One season...with moyes's established defence.....and an end of season throwing away a champions league place. But I dont care particularly how we get results atm....we are winning and not conceeding. Also SA has kept faith with youngsters like Jonjoe, DCL, Holgate, etc which is great to see...these lads could be part of a better future for EFC.

Agreed mate, and of course we should thank big Ronald Koeman for giving debuts and runs in the team to many of these youngsters.

Or maybe we aren't ready for that revisit yet, I'm not sure.

Come on now my mert. Their fans may be hideous mutant wastes of space and their manager a probable sex criminal with an entire potato on his shoulder, but they are clearly a match for Chelsea and if one game is a test for us then so is the other.

Very true that, its just that there were people who expected SA to drop the younger players which he hasn't - credit indeed to Koeman for introducing them....agree.

Even though we're winning at this moment in time mate, I think a lot see his appointment as a big step backwards (me included) because of the type of footy he's normally associated with.
I was more concerned with avoiding a likely looking relegation battle, which we appear to have already done. Personally, I'm of the opinion that we've employed the Allardyce that did an impressive job at Bolton, rather than the 'needs must' Allardyce that has been performing rescue jobs in recent years. Time will tell.
