“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

It seems quite clear that with this decision they either have no faith in the roster and are merely looking to survive this year or they are largely incompetent and were completely unprepared for this scenario of needing a manager.

Incompetent mate. Allardyce didn't even have to come back off holiday to get the Everton job, just like Koeman. Amazing.

Wonder if they will bother with the AGM.

So we appoint Fat Sam [I prefer Fat Sam to Big Sam as big implies he has some muscle definition]...everybody on this forum and just about everybody anywhere in the world who knows anything about soccer is of the opinion, that if we appoint him, he will save us from relegation...What if we appoint him, and we still get relegated...will he refund us his salary; can we sue his fat arse; can we harm him; can we jail him...Thank you...

His first 25 games in charge of Sunderland = 27 points. If he does exactly the same we'd get 39. Use his overall points per game from Sunderland and it works out as 41 points.

His 21 games at Palace = 26 points. Would have us on 38 with 4 games left so that's better. Use his points per game from CP it works out as 43 points.

His record, and I include WHU also, is patchy. You can say that's due to having crap teams to manage and that's true but he's hardly the god like guarantor of survival some portray him to be. Going on his past record it's likely we'll stay up but it'll be close.
He started bad for us. He needed the January transfer window to fix it. Also think we only lost 1 in our last 11.

While not overwhelmed at the prospect of Mr Allardyce taking charge, I've have had enough of this continental manager obsession. And pleased we are at least looking at British. I'm happy for Mr Allardyce prove me entirely wrong and he will have my full support unless results are poor.

Sorry I just cannot get my head around this at all. I'm pretty sure you're insinuating that being British allows a better view of what the league is like and thus less risky, but this doesn't seem the case. Just had a quick look at the last 5 years and roughly 2/3 of teams are relegated with British coaches.

Anyway it's a world game and we should be appointing the best man we can possibly get regardless if he's from the UK, Swaziland or Wigan.

Out of interest, and I genuinely am not trolling for an argument here, but if Allardyce got us to winning ways, even in say an FA Cup run, would those saying they won't attend games whilst he is still in charge still not come?

His record is very consistent. Since returning to the PL with WHU he would have us on track to finish in a range between 38 and 43 points taking into account what we have already.
