How about this being clear enough

Bob. I still support Everton but Im not going the match anymore.

Kevin. Bobs not going the match anymore so he cant be an Everton supporter.

Stan. In that case the other 90% of Evertonians that dont go the match cant be called supporters either.

Kevin. No thats ok.

Stan. You 're talkin through your arse mate.
That’s a different scenario. You’re in the wrong thread.

He can call himself a supporter but he's not a fan (short for fanatic).

Totally agreed that we need someone as soon as possible but everyone in the media and a lot of our fans seem to think it's a guarantee that we will be saved from relegation if big Sam gets it, nothing in life is guaranteed except the normal 2 things that quote ends in
And I bet fat sam finds a way to avoid one of them. Allegedly.

All you lads with season tickets, etc who say you won't be going to Goodison anymore if Allardyce is appointed, if we came out now and said he was our new manager, this is where you would be tomorrow night.

Whilst there has been a lot of knee-jerk reactions to this appointment. I do think there will be fans who will stop going and they will be missed. We don't have glory hunters, just 100% genuine supporters who will not be replaced easily.

@MickA ihas been my best mate for nigh on 40 years mate, i can guarantee he means exactly what he says and he's been going since the 80's, he's not the only one know who won't attend if Allardyce gets the job and wont be back until he's gone.

The thing with sam is he wants a massive back room team and all on 2 and a half year deals. To sack in the summer will be a other 8 figure some wasted by the club. He will also want to but in jan but it will be his type of player and may have to be moved on when a new manager comes in. An how much would he need to spend?
