This is basically my view too. I have a question what has happened with Dilane Bakwa and the lack of suitors? Seems personally to check a lot of boxes with a fair bit of assurance and yet is without any real buzz. I may be missing something in reports, there’s the difficulty that your dealing...

I think this is spot on. I think folks are downplaying the renegotiations. The squad of course needs improvement, but its spine is fairly assuring at this point and the most important names were retained which wasn't a given. I personally am impressed with Moyes and Co thus far. They are...

The same could be said about Gordon after the Preston loan. I don't know why on earth we would sell him. He's 21, had reasons for slow starts along with little moments of intrigue. More importantly he at best is getting us what we paid for him on the market. That'd said we have invested years of...

Read the article, according to them we basically can file the same losses as last year of 38/39 million. We got to that number though by the Onana sale. Who knows how much TFG and the stadium have generated in regards to resources or "profit" for us to invest, but a 50 million transfer moving us...

Lol I noticed that after. That said the larger points still stand considering the other links this window.

If its true its indeed a blow. That said this is my glass half full logic if he is indeed gone. For starters we are in the midst of new car prices in the market. I think Wirtz being already agreed has maybe inflated the market, clubs are moving a little more desperate or hasty already. All that...

I'd argue the peak performance of the average player falls between age 27 to 32. He's 29, 30 come December, the contract will likely not surpass 4 years. Thats 5 months out of that window, at age 33 come that 4th year. Its reasonable to suggest 3/4ths of this deal will be his best years.

I would be very encouraged by the Josh Brownhill links if true. Negotiations apparently are stalling with Parker/Burnley. Maybe Burnley's best player last campaign. And maybe most important, fairly analogous to Doucoure albeit I'd argue with a bit better goal scoring knack and being in his prime...

Honestly I may be in the minority but I don’t hate the Abraham links. For starters I put it in context to the market. Strikers are at a premium right now considering the amount of big hitters needing one. We have massive areas to address with only so deep of pockets to do so in regards to FFP...

That is a tour de force hire. Gobsmacked a bit, it says a lot about TFG’s competence in recruiting. He strikes me as someone who would only leave for a really assuring project and belief in the hire ups and oversight. That’s a potentially huge move by them.

    2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

Stating both the obvious and what also seems consensus. At 15 million the club should simply need his signature. He's worth that at present level, when you factor he is 22 and showing signs improving i'm not sure what the contrarian take would be. Especially considering he is already in the...

    Transfer Rumour Liam Delap

I honestly just come back to this. At that fee the conversation that he is England's future No 9 is irrelevant. Were talking a transfer comparable to what Nketiah went to Palace on, Patson Daka to Leicester, Danny Ings to Villa, Scamacca to West Ham. Say he stagnates he will be flippable at...

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Not my idea but considering no one is going to call it the Hill Dickinson, why not call it "The Dixie". Ode to our greatest and a reasonable abbreviation of the sponsor.

I think that's fair to note especially with Chelsea. Its a huge platform he has immediate ties with Palmer Enzo. United though I understand the club's scale, but they are miles off of Villa and Newcastle in near every metric. Recruitment, coaching, league position, european competitiveness. And...

If I were to take a shot in the dark this is what Delap is thinking United are intriguing because of the scale but the managerial turnover, poor recent development track record and fact they have spent nearly 100 million on two striker prospects in the last 2 years would make me very wary...

I think this is a fair point on the general market of ST. In my opinion the position is at a general low in quality let alone prospects. Thats leading to clubs taking bets and or I think a media grasping for "up and coming" forwards that maybe don't deserve the distinction. United with Hojlund...

Compiling an expirings list that could make sense to target considering our financial constraints. Evaluation from transfermarkt, wages from capology. The first phone calls. Obvious plus additions. CJ Egan-Riley, 22, CB England/Ireland, Burnley, 14 million, weekly wages 6,000 The City youth...

I think these are the names of the summer for the position. But this is also the shortlist for most clubs in a tier currently above us. Maybe with the exception of Samu who I expect would be the first choice over most these names. The position is at a depletion market wise. I would think most...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The more I sit with it I think this is probably the pragmatic approach. We are still in a pinch financially with crucial needs elsewhere. I look at the goal tally and of course am worried, that said we played half the season with all backup ST's injured, McNeil missing half the games. DCL's 3...
