Mate, I'm not trying to cast doubt on what you're saying but this sort of stuff is usually all over Twitter once this sort of thing is said and there's nothing on there at all. Any chance you might elaborate?

Put football to one side for a moment, we can talk about that any time. Super Kev has proven to be one of the genuinely good guys. An absolute gem of a bloke (and I say that accepting that we've had players here, even "legends" of the club who are absolute blerts). I really hope this isn't true.

If I'm honest, I watched none of the lad live before he got here but YouTube had me convinced he was a good buy. The scout stat geeks all had stuff to back this up and I didn't have a problem at all with the idea of him coming. Flip side of that is that I knew from watching 2 mins of Niasse's...

There's a touch of Niasse about him if I'm being honest, but that's not to say he couldn't be effective in the right set up. Fast, strong, decent in the air and very aggressive. Just has a touch like a garage door sadly.

Not "low prices". Literally zero money up front. If you think there's many players out there for that sort of deal, you should be doing his job. I'm not advocating that Beto was a good deal, I'm saying that we needed a striker and the number of strikers available for a down payment of £0.00...

Yeah, but that's purely based on hindsight Go back to the original question I asked and what would you have said 12 months ago?

    Isn't he a left back?

Devil's advocate then - given last summer Calvert-Lewin had a couple of years worth of injuries that would have made Gbamin blush, if Beto was all that was available (and he showed up pretty well on all the scout data stuff you see posted everywhere), would the prudent choice have been to have...

If you're aware of any other strikers in Europe who were available on "buy now, pay later" deals, then I'm all ears but it's genuinely nonsense to be posting this sort of stuff without acknowledging the context of the financial situation we are in. Beto has been largely disappointing, granted...

It isn't that he doesn't have talent. he clearly does, but there has to have been some sort of issue off the pitch with him. Didn't Guardiola accuse of him of being overweight at one point? I'm not even sure that getting a full Dyche pre-season in would be enough for him. It's not quite Dele...

We could conceivably see an Everton midfield next season that includes Kalvin Phillips and Dele Alli. Might as well get on the blower to Van der Meyde while we're at it and see if he fancies a year

...Outright saying you want to sell your shares means you're going to be lowballed, so it's hard to work out what the end game is there 2) Saying he *wants* to buy Everton has the same effect. He can't lowball and act like we are one of a load of options he has if he's declaring interest in...

    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

He's more of a number 6 than anyone we have, which in itself isn't a bad thing at all, but given we don't really play with a proper number 6, it's a slightly odd one. This lad is your classic "win the ball back and give it to someone who can play" type. Usually you'd associate him being the...

    2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Suddenly explains those links to the lad at Luton. Wouldn't want to lose him as when he's fit he's a huge asset and there aren't many players around with his mix of pace, athleticism and ability in the air but we all know what the financial situation is. If we could get £40m for him (I'm...

    777 Partners - Revised Poll Added 07/05/2024

There are absolutely reasons that we would be attractive. The major problem is the numbers involved. There's half a billion of debt to be repaid before you consider other bills coming due and what little the existing owner may think he can recoup. Nobody, particularly with the new stadium on the...

I don't really have an opinion about whether the lad in question is right or not tbh. Some of what he says adds up, some not completely. I think what surprises me, and why having the numbers at the front of mind is important, is the way the prospect of administration etc is so casually...

    777 Partners - Revised Poll Added 07/05/2024

It's the least important part of the debt picture, admittedly, but it will still need to be addressed at some point. That, and the value of his shares (laughable) are actually the major reason no white knight is appearing because he isn't willing to write everything off just yet. It will come at...
