Also the first programme of the year 2000 had the legends of each decade of the 1900s and have that signed by the 50s legend Dave Hickson, 60s legend Alex Young, 70s Bob Latchford, 80s Neville Southall, 90s Dave Watson and manager of the Millenium Howard Kendall of course.

    I have a copy of the Everton Encyclopedia signed by Alex Young, Dave Hickson, Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey, Joe Royle, Neville Southall, Kevin Ratcliffe and a few others. Got another book signed by Bob Latchford. Also bought a seat from Goodison that will hopefully be delivered fairly soon.

    Nah, it comes down to players. It always comes down to players. I’m pretty sure no less than Howard Kendall would say the same thing. We were as well run as any club in the league at the time but just lacked the resources to secure that extra bit of talent to push us to a higher level.
