This is where Esk is spot on - clowns like Denise & Kenwright should be nowhere near the club 3 years on from 'the' takeover.

Moshiri needs to get shot of these perennial unqualified board members asap if we are to ever improve off the field financially.

She has a BA (Hons), MBA and a PHD in Business, what other qualifications should she have?

Just admit you hate her cos shes a woman.

The Everton hierarchy have spent more time fawning over that lot across the park than addressing the issues at Everton.

She might have actually ran a football club before taking charge of a team wanting to break into the top of the most difficult football competition in the world.

According to Liverpool John Moores University, "Growing up in the South Liverpool suburb of Aigburth, Denise went on to graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University and studied for her doctorate at LJMU for a thesis entitled:,21st Century Headteacher: Guardian of Pedagogy or Visionary Leader?"

... so, not a business degree but one in Education. Worthy, but not useful in her current post.

You mean like Daniel Levy did?

Daniel Levy is considered the benchmark when it comes to running a club.

Levy/Joe Lewis took over at Spurs in 2000 when they were a team who finished 10th on average, it took them 8 years to win a trophy, it took them 11 years to break the CL, it took them 19 years and counting to build a Stadium, it took them 14 years to get a good manager.

God damn it, I knew that, I HATE it when people pick up on my blatant lies, 95% of the time nobody even bothers to check.

To be honest football success on and off the pitch never depends on academic qualification. She seems perfect for the role of charity and community development, not sure about her vision to push us to the next level.

Probably like, but her role isnt really that important, to me anyway, she wont be the reason we fail and she wont be the reason we succeed.

To me the most important people at the club are Moshiri, Brands and currently Silva, for me only those 3 need to put in work.

If Moshiri continues to back us, Brands continues to only buy ballers and Silva improves the consistency, it wont matter if "Denise" has to google what a PSG is.

I don’t know why Levy is considered the benchmark given all those stats you’ve just articulated.

I’m not saying DBB isn’t fit for the role (although I’d have preferred to have hired external from the team that sat under Elstone all those years) but it would be nice for a change for anyone at Everton to come out with a statement of ambition that wasn’t either completely laughable or wasn’t so mired in spin that it doesn’t actually say anything. Her ‘update’ didn’t actually update the fans on anything, neither did Colin Chong’s one. They’re straight from the Elstone school of mastering the art of giving the fans absolutely nothing.

Levy has got Spurs in a CL final all while spending less than Cardiff on transfers.

I consider him the benchmark.

The issue with DBB is that its almost certain she wouldn't have been promoted to CEO if the club had done what it should have and engaged in a global search process, with specialist headhunters if necessary.

We can offer a very competitive salary for a club with ambition (supposedly) in an elite league. There would have been no shortage of interest, which is the thing that galls me when we end up with an in-house chair shuffle instead.

You get respect and clout by earning your stripes in a similar position elsewhere. She cannot just assume the top job at EFC with her background and expect to be taken with the seriousness that a football business leader would have brought with him/herself.

The continuance of the status quo means more groupthink, more jobs for mates whilst the club remains stuck in mud. There should be a degree of tension between Moshiri and the board/executive management in order to get a reform agenda through as there should be between Brands and Silva.

Too much cosiness and settling internally makes it almost impossible to progress. I can only assume that Moshiri is still hamstrung by whatever compromise was made with Bill as if he couldn't see that for himself then his tenure here will be rendered utterly pointless in any event.

"In business terms internationally, it's fantastic. It’s great for the game, the city and the visitor economy, and it’s a spotlight on Liverpool, which has two fantastic, high achieving, top-flight football clubs. That's fantastic for the fans. "

Dear Lord, this woman is an actual influential figure within this club. It’s no wonder we’re a mess, with the likes of her, Kenwright and Woods sitting on the board.

Truly embarrassing. She’s worse than Elstone, something I thought impossible.

It’s Brands job to run the football side.
As an aside , how many successful football clubs had Mr P Carter overseen before Mr. J. Moores installed him ?
