2025/26 Tyler Dibling

You’ll see in time. He has massive potential.

People need to realise that fees have changed massively. And people pay even more for potential than they will for a fully developed player now.
Regardless of the fee, he just doesn't look up to much. It's going to take injuries for him to get in the side.

We probably could have spent the money better elsewhere, considering we need midfielders and fullbacks.

I’m serious. Some kids are just more quiet and reserved. But he’ll also be diligent at trying to improve. A teacher’s pet type.
Gotcha, mate. I do get your point. He’s got something there. I know he’s young. But when you compare him and Barry, it just feels like Dibling is trying to find that next level even if he’s coughing up possession. That says there’s something you can work with. Barry concerns me because he should show even more ambition as a striker.

We don’t see him in training or know what he’s capable of. Everyone develops at different rates I think he’ll gradually work his way into the team this season, but he’ll be more of a reserve for a while.

That said, who know when it will click. Maybe he has a hot match, his confidence takes off and we are away at the races.

I think you could be right on Barry. Nothing about his background strikes me as diamond in the rough. I think he could be a flop, to be honest. He’s not showing anything.

This kid could be magic, but its looking like a poor acquisition atm.

If we were playing in Europe I could understand it but putting £40m down on him now in our current state is bonkers imho.
We don’t have the luxury of having loads of games against 3rd rate European teams (never mind getting knocked out of the cup) to warm him up.
If he’s anything like as good as he’s supposed to be, he needs to be playing. How can a loan for Harrison be great for his development, but sitting on the bench most of the time is good for this lad.

We have the luxury of not being in relegation trouble and the ability to build strong foundations for our club. You've been on his arse since day one, give it a rest.

His first start for us in the PL against the most in form team, I thought he was fine.
He wasn't fine, he was poor and got took off at halftime.

What worries me is he doesn't look to have an obvious strength. We needed a pacey winger and he's certainly not that.
