2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

His goal looks better on second viewing

….love midfielders getting those tap ins. It’s hard work continually hitting the box but the rewards are there.

Looks like he might have come off the bench but maybe he has captains arm-band on. Lukjanciks in goal.

I’ve watched part of this match, Harrison is playing further forward akin to his role against Mansfield compared to his deeper role with Derby , he had a hand in the first goal , cutting the ball back from the bye line before it was eventually slotted. Preston are a good attacking team , less so defensively and that’s a worry if they’ve got him to fill a specific deep mid position . While he can certainly do both, his attacking instincts to score and create goals is something he needs to continue to develop too.
A positive start at u19’s though, captaining a talented squad and not looking at all out of place.

Havent watched him in the internationals. Was planning to watch todays game but fell asleep :)

Disagree about Preston and him potentially playing as a 6.

Thats the area where we only have Garner. If Armstrong has a strong season in that role for preston then he has a route into Evertons 11.

As an attacking player he'll have more competition as weve signed a few this window.

So, one year developing as a 6 seems good to me. If Preston do well then that 6 may become a bit more fluid.
