Computer games.

Here’s one for the He-Man fans:

Reminds me a lot of that arcade side to side screen brawler game, ‘Golden Axe’.

And if you remember that game, then you really are giving away your age, lol. 😳

No wonder I don't game much these days FFS, it's not 1986...KOFF with this 2d 💩 that you can run on a Sega Genesis. I lived that life and am not looking to go back.

(showing my age)

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake on PS5. Probably my favourite ever game, first played 20 years ago, on the PS2 I think it was.

Good graphics on the new one with a modern game game or you can play the original above the character style.

Only thing I’m annoyed about so far is the theme tune appears different.

What’s the difference between original and modern gameplay wise mate?

Well the graphics are much better. If you remember the original the camera angle was above the character. Now it’s a more modern angle which is better. But you play the old style if you want to. I have only just got it so early days for me but it’s decent. If you liked the original you will like this. Price steep for a remake though. £70.00.

Thought this was an interesting interview explaining the issues behind FM25’s cancellation

I admire the honesty tbh. The whole thing still looks pretty bad from their part, with 'forgetting' to get key licenses sorted before the release announcement (There were people pre-ordering at that point), but at least they've had the good conscience to come out and put their hands up and be honest about what went wrong.

Carrion.
This was a fun, 2d indie title where you play as a tentacled monstrosity trying to break out of a secure facility.
It has some light Metroid-Vania mechanics where you get different abilities to allow you to backtrack and access new areas and the like.
Pretty short at around 3/4 hours and a fairly easy play through. My only gripe is that towards the end it's not obvious where you have to go, so I spent a fair bit of time backtracking & trying to figure out where where to go next, which took you out of the usual fast pace of the gameplay.

It's on Game Pass at the moment.

Finally!

The original ‘Hollow Knight’ is a fantastic game. This has been stuck in development hell for a few years, so let’s hope the actual game is as good as this trailer looks!

Out in a few weeks!

I found the original insanely hard, despite completing several FromSoft games and generally playing games on hard mode. Not sure why I hit such a brick wall with it.

Just finished this. Quite a bit longer than three to four hours, but I got all the containers. Sound track is great, it's like a blade runner eulogy. The enemies didn't do enough, the variety wasn't there, and there was more scope for 'boss' levels. Agreed, it's not the most linear, probably the biggest enemy in it is getting lost. Funny being the face hugger for a game. Some good humour, (not least the bodies you can't eat). Reminded me of 'prince of persia' from a long time ago. Some back story of why the being is where it is would have been nice. Did it crash, is it hostile, is it looking for safe harbour...
