The Canadian FA is riddled with these nepo kids of former players from the UK. It's a very corrupt and closed door organization filled with the likes of Daglish's kids.
Dominik Diamond is not linked to football at all. He hosted one of the original video gaming shows in the UK in the 90s. I've no idea how he ended up involved in Canadian football.

After moving to Canada in 2009, he has hosted radio shows for stations in Toronto, Halifax and Calgary, where he was host of the Morning Show on Jack FM from 2015 to 2018.

Yes, but it can be a bit one paced at times.

I'm more concerned with his injury rcord now tbh.
The technical standard is very high in the Bundesliga. The locals are technically very good, so the baseline is high. The problem is Germans have collectively forgotten how to defend. The national team has plenty of "footballers" - the problem is it hasn't a single defender worth the name. The days of Schnellinger, Beckenbauer, Breitner, Stielike, Förster, Kohler, Buchwald, Sammer, and Lahm are long gone. When Rüdiger is held up as your best defender, you know you're in trouble.

Thankfully, we haven't signed a German defender.

"

Merlin's taking big strides after his injury troubles. He's got pace, great movement. He can be a real difference-maker, and he completely identifies with the club." - Former Freiburg head coach Christian Streich

"He fought his way into [Freiburg's] team. That's not easy. He focused on defensive work and also came into his own offensively. He's very quick and determined. He's very dangerous." - Germany U21 head coach Antonio Di Salvo

"Merlin's the complete midfielder. He can do it defensively and offensively." - Röhl's former coach at Ingolstadt, Tomas Oral"

Theoretically I like him. He looks a player - fast, strong and not without a bit of finesse.

I just wonder about the Bundesliga's standard.
Shouldn’t we be concerned with Everton’s standards and try and improve on it? Isn’t that the first measure? Plus your whole metric is a mess. Sadio Mane would of walked in to our team in the last decade, even if on crutches, yet he went to Munich (theoretically the easiest German side to play for ) and was in Saudi within a year collecting his pension.

Yeah, good point. I watched the Bundesliga regularly up until a season or two ago and that was observable. But it's the intensity of the PL that outstrips the Bundesliga. Rohl looks like he could cope with that. Looks aggressive and fairly quick.

I dont understand any of this.
