Dont think would sign any defenders because well have cover when players come back fit. Even tho questions on quality. Hate that i am even going say it but maybe worth trying get bamford on a free just for the season for cover

Is just incase if moyes wanted 3 strikers if the plan is to wait to jan i get one then fine. Just prefer have cover with the problems we have had with injuries is positions ehat is the other option ndiaye who is off to the acon

One thing that I've taken from this, we have a valuation on players and we stick to it. Dibling could have been bought much earlier but we wouldn't pay Soton the fee. Stuck to our guns and got him. When we bought Iceland we kept outbidding ourselves and paid 20m too much.

This is exactly what happened… we agreed a fee but wouldn’t accept the clauses as we felt them unreasonable and unrealistic, we were prepared to walk away but the feeling from early on was that they would blink first. Believe that or not, but this is what people close to that deal were saying. Club deserves credit for that.

Having only 2 strikers is absolutely the bigger issue

You almost always sub off the centre forward with 15-20 minutes to go and if you have only one alternative, an injury to Barry or Beto would massively hamstring us.

Same would like think would be on the list in jan tbh at or grab a free agent and is not alot of quality. Dont think is anyone who can step up from the u21 aswell

All depends what the manager wants out of the list of free agents makes most sense. If moyes wants us to wait till jan then that is fine with me, not saying i would be even happy with it. I wanted more players this window even if was another striker to work on that was young but had little experience and something we could work on. Would hopefully be like king we signed for 3 gk spot cover but no real plans to play unless injuries
