Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I love how quickly our baseline has grown. Over January we only managed to secure Charly. And last year we got Jack Harrison and Lindstrom. And we had made of glass Armando Broja. This time we got KDH from Chelsea. And Grealish. Dibling. So much to build on.

Since Moyes coming in to take over in December everything has drastically changed. And there’s excitement again and way more positivity. We can’t get everything in one window. But we pretty much did.
You will learn eventually that common sense stuff like doesn’t go down well on here
We need to feed the fume

Tomiyasu and Reguilon are the two I would take from that list

Tomiyasu is a massive risk with his injury record though

According to Transfermarkt, he's had 3 knee injuries in the past 12 months and has missed all but 1 match in that period. The last one was knee surgery and he's not expected to return until October.
That's probably the reason a 26yo right back with loads of PL experience was let go by Arsenal and is still a free agent.

One thing that I've taken from this, we have a valuation on players and we stick to it. Dibling could have been bought much earlier but we wouldn't pay Soton the fee. Stuck to our guns and got him. When we bought Iceland we kept outbidding ourselves and paid 20m too much.
This is exactly it, we paid what Swansea wanted for Iceland, same for Ashley Williams. I've a feeling Southampton feel they sold low on Dibling.

I will wait for him in October

Clear shift in strategy from years gone by, clear focus on youth in the likes of Aznou, Barry, Rohl & Dibbers blended with experience and technical footballers.

Given the youth we have bought it’s hard to say if the window has been a success but there’s a feeling that we are building a team for years to come. Exciting times!
Add in Branthwaite and OBrien as starting CBs and we have the nucleus of a good young first 11

I will wait for him in October
The recent injury history is a big worry and even if that's behind him when he returns, he's had nearly a year without football, so he'll be miles off the pace you'd assume.

That said, he was a competent PL quality right back when he played, so if we did offer him a contract, you'd hope it would be either a pay-as-you-play contract initially or something short term with an extension option.

Dont think would sign any defenders because well have cover when players come back fit. Even tho questions on quality. Hate that i am even going say it but maybe worth trying get bamford on a free just for the season for cover

The League cup is ours this year...there i've said it!
I hope so mate. I dont think any fans on the planet deserve a trophy more than ours. Anyone under 35 will have no memory of us winning anything so i want it for all of them. And my dad of course, despite everton ruining most his weekends he still never loves them any less.
