2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Maybe the manager doesn’t think that Armstrong is going to get game time whereas the guy 5 years older than him actually might.

My gripe isnt so much about him being loaned out. I can see positives and negatives with that so, on the fence.

Its that weve signed Rohl on an obligation for next season when were already top heavy in CM and ACM but dont have a DM bar perhaps Garner.

I hope Garner plays DM but then who rotates with him with Armstrong gone?

Just doesnt quite make sense to me.

I don't agree mate.

If he has to go out on loan ( I'd prefer to keep hold of him ) it should be to a better Championship team , a team that plays better football and will have more of the ball or to a top 4 team in Holland.
Had to be his old club Preston - he is a joke of a Manager - we need Lee Carsley to take this team on - DM would have signed Soucek almost 31 years old - for Harrison Armstrong - we need two good full backs as back up & he buys a midfielder????? only 21 million with an injury record bah

The other side to this could be his continued development into a prized future sale. I rate Armstrong. But if the current options in his position are pushing us up the table and are blocking him from a starting position, then we can make a big profit from him. Small steps. But big clubs do this all the time.

Not with talents like him.

They integrate them into the squad and give them game time.

Remember: Roehl is only 23. Just because he is currently utilised by Freiburg as a box to box 8, doesn't mean he can't become a more defensive minded player.

Rice was playing as a 6 for West Ham at 22/23 years old and is now a box to box 8.

Looking at him, he reminds me a bit of Goretzka in physical profile and numbers.

Why can't he become our DM? Got a season to learn the position

Fair play.

He will get regular game time which is what he needs at 18. Moyes has links with PNE and being close we can keep an eye on him and be there to support him. Next season he will be in the first team squad, this season he needs experience of playing.

I think Harrison is championship standard and now has a season to show what he can do instead of bit part player with us. It's a sound move.
