Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We're a weird bunch, aren't we?

Crying for any old RB considering that we already have 4 players at the club who play the position..

The idea is to bring players in who'll actually improve us - not just pad the numbers there.

The RB position has become a bit of an obsession for some considering that we still only have two left-backs after Aznou.. 🤷‍♂️

In fairness one of those RB’s is on his last legs, one has never impressed and the other two are square pegs for a round hole, talented though they are

I mean I could play RB for the club... Nobody would actually want me to

The point is that the options we have either aren't good enough for our ambitions or they weaken other parts of the side in the case of O'Brien

What on earth are you on about? YOU are the one who is seemingly happy to have a high number of players that can fill in there out of position, people want us to buy an actual specialist right back to improve us in that area?
Earl Barrett was a specialist RB. Sidibe was. Nathan Patterson is a specialist RB.

I’d rather we waited and signed the next Coleman.

...and as Moyes has stated on a number of occasions now - it isn't a priority this window.

Tete would've been sound had it happened - but it didn't. Similarly, the Patterson thing fell through last minute. It happens - but the business we've done in other more pressing areas of the pitch has been very positive.

I can wait on that 'specialist right back' and so can Moyes. Again - it's a position thats reasonably well stocked at the very least.

Keep your head on for christ sake

More than anything I am surprised by the age profile of the players we have signed this summer.
Anzou and Dibling are just 19. Barry, Dibling, Alcaraz and possibly now Rohl as well all 23 or under.

I thought David Moyes would go for more experienced, older players but it looks as if we are trying to build a team for the future as well as the present.
Probably trying our own version of what Brighton do

About time imo

But he hates young players.
