Assuming that Patterson stays - we still have him, JOB, Coleman & Garner who play the position, so it really isn't the 'failure' that people are claiming...

You could argue that we're still lighter at LB!

And it’s glaring in its omission but Moyes must think it’s better to continue with JOB there than use the budget for someone he sees as a lesser player. Same as he did with Lescott really.

Agree. Despite the last match, JOB has been very good at RB.

If anything, get another CB in. We currently have 3 healthy CBs, 2 if JOB is starting at RB.

Not ideal, but we do have Coleman, Garner, and Patterson who can play RB if needed due to injury/suspension. Not sure what we are going to do if we have two injuries at CB. We can shoehorn in a RB temporarily if needed, can't really do that at CB.

It's not going to end up being a 10/10 window then as I think we are still light in a couple of areas, but maybe it was always unlikely that our finances would stretch to sorting every problem out this summer properly.

It's all fine too that we are going to still not have any overlapping fullbacks on both flanks for like the 3rd season in a row. Mykolenko doesn't do well with it and we're counting on CBs to be our RB.

I'm just repeating myself now, but the first player we tried (really hard) to sign was a right back.

It looked like we'd prioritised it before everything else.

We didn't get Tete and just stopped trying to sign a right back.

I don't get that.
