Villa seem to be starting to splash the cash. Wonder if after their poor start they are starting to brick it a bit and saying to hell with PSR
Suppose when you have a side, expecting 10 new players every summer isn't really a possibility, unless you dismantle the side you built first. So stability and getting a tune from them at least in the medium term is the expectation. Play your games, get your rewards (cup and euro runs), save up your pennies, buy an upgrade or replace a spent player, do it all over again.

We've signed some players this summer, it's on the manager to set them up and practice to start delivering on the pitch. We're unlikely to be able to spend ~ £150m net every summer.

Squad player to come on in matches when Gana needs a breather to calm things down. Also allows Armstrong to go out on loan and get useful game time.

Oh yeah you might be right. Now I look again I can see there is about another 975 people that made the same joke. No idea how I missed that tbh

He's give you a bit of a rohlicking there hasn't he haha

BTW guys, make sure we put haha at the end of our posts to seem ironic and not in anyway like the other tools making rohl puns. Thanks

"Merlin's taking big strides after his injury troubles. He's got pace, great movement. He can be a real difference-maker, and he completely identifies with the club." - Former Freiburg head coach Christian Streich

"He fought his way into [Freiburg's] team. That's not easy. He focused on defensive work and also came into his own offensively. He's very quick and determined. He's very dangerous." - Germany U21 head coach Antonio Di Salvo

"Merlin's the complete midfielder. He can do it defensively and offensively." - Röhl's former coach at Ingolstadt, Tomas Oral

I doubt these lads are giving up first team football in the Bundesliga to sit on the bench of a PL team without Europe.

If he’s joining he’s going to be playing.

Everton fans are going to have to start getting used to a world where a 36 year old isn’t starting 38 PL games a season for us as an automatic first pick.

James Garner has completely won Moyes over as one of the midfield pivots. He’s a nailed on starter. Dibling hasn’t come to sit on the bench, neither has KDH, neither will Rohl.
