Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If anything happens to O'Brien we're goosed.
I dont disagree with you on that mate. Would be a huge shame with the excellent business we have done to not bring in a rb too

It’s like if you ask as a kid to get 6 certain presents for christmas and get 5 of them but your parents couldn’t afford the 6th. Doesn’t mean it was a rubbish christmas. Still boss but could have been perfect.

I do think a rb is coming though, have a feeling that sevilla one. Fingers crossed

Obviously our recruitment team don’t work on a Sunday, by the lack of activity.
If a completely unaffiliated outlet reported some blag transfer news to stir up your loins, would that make you think that our recruitment team were working, mate?

None of us have a clue about the majority of stuff they do until it’s done, and the majority of what you think they’re doing during a transfer window, they’re not.

Hope so. I'd give it 5/10.

However, the performance and development of Dibling and Anzou may mean that next seasons recruitment has a head start.

When you're on the up you should be taking advantage of that rather than settling. We still have time to get more in and improve the squad and it's what should be happening. Don't sit and be happy with what we have. Go and make it better and more secure!
Madness if we don’t add now. I certainly wouldn’t be feeling complacent on the back of three games where we lost badly (Leeds), were steeped not to concede (Brighton), and scraped by because an opposition player missed a last-minute sitter (Wolves).

We have to address RB, DM, and possibly ST.

Probably worth getting ahead of it and noting that when (not if, IMO) the deadline comes without us signing anyone else, it has been a good window on the whole and one that has taken the team a good few steps forward.

The right back thing is weird, and CM will be an issue with any substantial injury and/or AFCON, but we are a far better team now than we were in May.

The Leeds game was a waste but taking six from six from the rest of the month means most of my early fretting was misplaced. They’ve done a good job.
Very small sample size from which to judge.

Failing to buy a starting RB will be a dereliction of duty and will come back to bite us.

We’re a DM, RB & Fast wide/centre forward away from a 9/10 imo.

I don’t think we will get these in but I also don’t think it’s outside of impossible to get these in on time, especially with the loan spots we have free.

Well he’s at Bournemouth and they sold
60% of his defenders and he still stayed.
IF TFG have ambition then getting someone like Irola should be well
Within our reach and we’ve just got Grealish, when the whole country doubted it.
When Carlo Ancelotti has managed us all this within reach stuff is nonsense.

It's just how you go about it.

It's more of a case of building sensibly and with stability to improve as our revenue increases.
