I'd say they may wait for Jan - although that is supposed to be the worst time to buy.

Be amazed if we don't loan somebody at least.

I was certain we were going to fully EverLOAN and max them spaces we have out.

A specialist right back is definitely needed. JOB has done a sterling job in fairness to the lad but extremely unfair to ask him or expect him to be playing there for a full season. Seamus role is now purely a substitute appearance, I can deal with that, his experience is crucial in and around the team.

I can't also be the only one thinking we need an upgrade in the striker position. Thierno Barry isn't ready, yes he has potential but big step up for the lad, it will take time. Beto isn't going to get better at his age, and I just don't see him hitting 15 goals for a season for us. To progress I think we need at least that.....

Who we can get is anyone's guess.
But if Chermiti and Patterson leave then we need them two positions filled....

No links so far is a surprise but thinking back to past deadline day periods, we always seem to get a surprise target pop up, think back to resigning Steven Pienaar in 2012, Fellaini after the close in 2008, Van Der Beek and Dele in 2022, Alcaraz in January, Gomes and Mina, Lukaku/Barry/McCarthy etc plus names that never ultimately came off

Mick how do you think we should deal with the gloom merchants who spent all summer predicting ruin and trying to agitate other blues into being as miserable as them?

Should they be allowed to continue to post as though it didn’t happen?

I hope we throw all the August fixtures next year as well. It’s been an awful month.

I suspect the club is keeping their powder dry. If something comes up, at the right price, we will do business, but the club is not being held to ransom.
