2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Well that was a constructive response, and I have to say I can’t disagree with a lot of what you have said. I like his technical ability on the ball.

One thing I’ll say tho is that this team has options now, I think if we signed Paqueta then it’s getting exciting.

But fair play on your point!

Thanks. I really like Paqueta, wanted him pre his Lyon move.

Again though, same as KDH I see him as superior as an attacking CM not as a 10.

Watching the play in the games so far, i agree with others saying we need a 6.

Garner or Armstong can play there but perhaps we need that defensive monster.

Now, if we sign a top class 6...again I cant see KDH as a starter in the formation Moyes loves.

Where I would have him is in a 433 playing next to Garner with a 6 behind. In my post 2 years ago (talking about KDH) i had Onana as the 6 with Garner and KDH ahead of him - balance.

There i think we see the best of him with Gana rotating with him depending on the match.

Just can’t argue with goals and assists especially away from home. I still might prefer him deeper with Alcaraz at 10 but the team is scoring open play goals and he’s at the centre of it.
Nah, he was really struggling in the middle third. He’s a #10 I feel, and if he can have an impact like today a pretty good one.

Also can’t drop Gana or Garner right now.

Despite his goal...which he shinned like...I'd have had Alcaraz on for him after he scored today.

Alcaraz would have added a 4th there and we could have heaved a sigh of relief sooner.
I'm hoping Moyes can balance the mixing it up between the two of them, I think they both have advantages and disadvantages which will take some effort to find the balance

If we are asking our new creative players to be brave and create openings and chances, they will lose the ball. Much more than if they just crunch it back to Pickford at the first sign of a challenge. Need to get used to this, and probably best to wait until full time when players are running Grealish close for MoM, rather than labelling them utter cack.

Proper footballer. Actually runs into space after passing the ball instead of thinking “phew, that’s my bit done.” A revelation.

….ok, I’m not a fan of the lad but Moyes explained why he and Grealish were brought in, ‘to add quality to our possession in final third’. That’s the think with Moyes, he’s not just buying players, he’s buying players he feels we need. I want to watch my team offer some threat.

Actually thought he was ordinary for first 20mins, then he produced exactly what Moyes acquired him for. In the lead up to the 2nd goal he played a delightful pass behind the back four for Grealish, then delivered a fine assist for Ndiaye. The run he made beyond our striker for his goal is something I had noticed in his Leicester days, he took that lovely dink from Grealish in his stride and hit it early.

A few options in attacking positions now, but a fine goal and assist today.
