So basically we play without either Beto or Barry?I just think if we move him deeper it gives us more security with the ball taking it off the centre backs and also allows us to play Grealish Ndiaye Dibling in the same side.
I wouldn’t even mind a midfield three with Garner sitting KDH and Grealish just ahead and then Ndiaye and Dibling out wide. Could be some nice combinations of two left footers and two right footers there.
I think you'll find that i wanted him 2 years ago. When we were fighting relegation
I simply dont see him as a 10 at all. Whether that makes me 'wrong', I dont see that even after today
Even in the Roma game i didnt see it when he got alot of praise.
What I see is an attack minded 8 being used too far forward. I think if he was used deeper then he has the whole pitch ahead of him and can spray the ball around and be that player to link midfield with 3 or 4 players in front of him.
I'm not seeing a 10. After his goal he looked VERY effective in the advanced role. If he can be that player to elevate the team then not many will be happier than me.
I just think that we could have signed someone with the £25-30mil or whatever it ends up being to takeover from Gana - because for me as an 8 (where i see him as used best) they occupy similar spaces on the pitch.
I'd be surprised if i'm wrong about him moving into the 8 role and see others as superior as 10s.

Could work in certain games where we're having to break down a low block. Ndiaye played as a CF quite a bit at Sheff Utd so could see him working there..
Hello mateThis is what happens when you buy a player who plays in the same position as Gana...
...and use them as a 10.
Idiocy.
Defo put to bedThis should put to bed those who think he's a 10.
Next to Gana all day.
Not a fan of false nines personally as a striker is a specialist position where they need to be in and around the box instead of drifting everywhereSo basically we play without either Beto or Barry?
