Rodrigo Gomes cost Wolves just under £13m. Decent little winger there.

Anyway, a few of todays observations. We got very nervy and sat a bit deep when Gana went off. That's a concern. Maybe it's a slower summer or not fully recovered from last season due to the smaller summer break, and the fitness issue that can project, but why are our players absolutely knackered and running at deaths door at about 75 minutes? Are they putting that much in first half that they're dying on their feet? If the players need rotating, then they'll need it sooner than later.

I wouldn't say Moyes "got away with it" because we clearly deserved to win but it did feel like the subs came a little late, and not convinced by the personnel. Tim just doesn't really look up to regular PL football to be honest.

Lots of really good performances today a few errors which cost us but its still early in the season to iron them out. But I did want to mention the performance tonight of Garner nothing spectacular but if he wasn't there we would notice it real fast.

I wouldn't say Moyes "got away with it" because we clearly deserved to win but it did feel like the subs came a little late, and not convinced by the personnel. Tim just doesn't really sum up to regular PL football to be honest.

I think the middle is a little bit out of ideas as to their identity. we've only got Gana to do the Gana role, but expecting D-Hall to run two positions seems a bit silly, and then the either support slot to cover Gana or to be more advanced making runs off or supporting Beto we kind of need a sprinter that is also a marathon runner and never ever stop moving, as well as a sixth sense for knowing where is essential to be. The lack of defined roles in CM is a conundrum to be solved. The longer the impasse is allowed to continue the more stuck long term it could take.
