Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

According to the behind the scenes chatter that has popped up here, Moyes has highly rated dibbling and was one of the main proponents of being adamant over sealing his signature. People act like Moyes hasnt developed younger players, he can be cautious at times but he's not dyche look what he did with rice
Its laughable that people keep saying Moyes hates youth.

  1. James Vaughan (Everton vs Crystal Palace on 10 April 2005) – 16 years, 270 days old
  2. James Milner (Leeds United vs Sunderland on 26 December 2002) – 16 years, 356 days old
  3. Wayne Rooney (Everton vs Arsenal on 19 October 2002) – 16 years, 360 days old

"Obsessed" ?

Can you perhaps name some senior right backs that Everton should have signed this window then?

Because if not then of course the focus should be adding younger players to develop.

Also, it may have eluded you but PSR literally benefits those with young players.

Havent seen anything about Moyes rating dibling?
Will be the lad coming from united aint it who will be doing the youth stuff so will prob see alot more deals when he starts. I would have looked for a similar profile to aznou who has had some first team experience and could build open during the season like the barca kid. I do think moyes rates dibbling becuase wouldnt have asked the club to push for him

Well, I wanted Tarkowski. Also lets not forget Moyes was bidding £30mil+ for him a year or two prior when he was at West Ham so the financials for us were great as well.

No one is bidding for Soucek. No one is seeing in him what Tarkowski could and has added.

I like to look at January and then next summer and see which players are likely to still be in the squad and the 11.

Having Soucek playing a part next season doesnt seem logical.

….this permanent personal ‘I want’ agenda, like your trying to prove how good you are to everybody. You wanted Aaron’s, you wanted Potter as our Manager, Chermiti and Broja will be our most technically gifted strikers ever.

It really doesn’t matter to us who you want, it’s not a competition. Just chill and play your computer ;)

Bill Kenwright loves this post. 💙

Nil satis tho!

Just cant see soucek as a real option, dont think west ham will want to sell would rather keep him around the squad esp the position in atm. Two dont think we will bid what they want aswell just be shocked we go for him at 20 mill when moyes wants other postions filled. Can see him wanting more players instead of bringing in just soucek

One of those is not like the other two.

Having said that, I think circumstances will dictate most of those decisions, not necessarily the managers view.

I definitely understand that the previous regimes especially kenwright would regularly manipulate the supporters and constantly over promise to only under deliver and then try to deflect with some phony schmaltz . the thing about Moyes he's definitely ran some cover for kenwright and papering over the cracks, he was never going to criticize kenwright which can be perceived a major flaw but regarding transfers Moyes was and is pretty honest about activity. I get the frustration man and as we discussed earlier today it's perfectly within their right to have concerns I just find it tedious when proclamations are made before something happens, if the Friedkins leave holes in the squad on Tues I will personally gripe about it but until then it hasn't taken place.
I like Moyes. Competent manager. In fact, he was so competent that he was Kenwright’s best stroke of luck ever. He owed Walter for that… But I wouldn’t trust Moyes as far as I could throw him. He’s well able to play along with the likes of “Bill” when it suits him. I’ll judge the window, initially, on Tuesday morning. And then properly next summer. Here’s hoping to be positively surprised over the coming days…and season.
