If you asked me two weeks ago I would've said loan him out, but it might be that he's the 6 we've been looking for all summer.

I hope I’m wrong but it reminds me of Kieran Dowell when he first came in.

I’d prefer Armstrong to go on loan so he gets to play more, not sure he’ll do it at us with all the options we now have.

All due respect this is vaguely mental.

He could have had four assists the other night. Looked more dangerous than anyone on the pitch, nothing mental about suggesting he plays. He either plays, sits on the bench or leaves.

I like KDH and Alcarez but Armstrong has something different to his game, give him game time and by next season he will be starting every week.

He’s definitely got a role to play this season.

Personally id have him next to Gana and use him to pick defence splitting forward passes from deep - it’s probably not his best position atm but he could easily grow into the role.

Dilemma. We need the numbers, he's looked good, but he needs the game time right now and he will only get it here if we pick up some injuries.

What's the situation on recalling players from a loan? Do we have to commit to a season, or can we bring him back in January?

In what way? In terms of style of play I can't think of anybody he looks less like at the moment. Dowell was a player who had lots of natural talent with the ball at his feet and was capable of magic moments but for 89 minutes you could forget he was playing as he just didn't get involved. The most impressive thing about Armstrong is how intelligent he is in his movement and how well he does the simple things.
