Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Mainoo is reportedly on about £20k a week so if Man Utd do end up reluctantly letting him go out on loan they'll want his full wage covered but at £20k/wk it's low risk for such a talented player. I'd hope Everton are part of the conversation.

Mainoo has asked to leave on loan. I Hope we go for him and can convince him this is the best place for him. Would be excellent in our midfield.

Then it's just about a right back.
Heh. Mainoo has asked to go on a loan because he can't get gametime for a United team that plays with a two man midfield. He has McNeal's pace and doesn't cover ground fast enough. While every player next to him get the blame for his limitations.

He'll be just as slow in an Everton shirt. And we play with a two man midfield.

As long as we are fine with and continue to set up at team where we are outnumbered and overrun every match, Mainoo would only make us look worse. A lot worse.

Changing to a three man midfield with Mainoo would improve us. So would changing to a three man midfield without Mainoo.

Yeah, she does get briefed by the club but so does joyce. Thats why their reliable.

with regards to the dibling transfer we had walked away from the deal and it was Southampton who brought us back to the table. Hence why we ended up paying £35m for him because them bringing us back to negotiate weakened their bargaining position.

I personally think his reliability has been very suspect this summer. The amount of "insider information" he's tweeted that come 3-4 minutes just after another source has already posted it is a massive red flag to me.

I dont know the guy personally so i cant make a judgement on him as a person. My issue has always been his business model now revolves around people paying him money to tell them itk information. Which means he's now incentivised to make up information for the podcast. Which makes him unreliable imo unfortunately.
Well, regardless of what he tweets out, he is usually ahead of the curve on his podcast. Additionally, he freely admits he doesn’t hear everything, and certainly not first, but what he does do, is goes and checks on the validity of stories. He is very accurate.

Joyce and Giulia tweet what the club want us to know. Remember, that the club will often seek to manipulate stories. Think about how often they have tried to keep bad injuries hidden from us in the past, or phantom bids etc. So, just because they are fed stuff from the club, it is what the club want us to know and sometimes the club (as all clubs do) want to spin us a line.
