We really need some pace out wide, and a forward who can hold the ball. Not sure if that's Barry yet, but feels like he's similar to Beto/needs space to run into.

I dont think Beto and Barry are that similar at all. For me Beto is faster and stronger so better at running on to a ball and shrugging a defender. I have not seen any evidence that Barry is good at this but it may develop with experience. Barry is better at link-up play and has a better first touch. For their height I dont think either are particularly good at headers.
The major caveat to the above is that Barry has only been here a couple of wet weeks so may need time to find his feet. I think he has potential and a goal could do wonders for his confidence.
I actually think they dovetail well, as while they have different strengths replacing one with the other does not require the team to alter the way we play.

I think it’s solid albeit the squad size could be a little bigger.

Fofana Grealish Dibling Ndiaye Alcaraz, pick any 3 from 5 depending on their form would be a great position to be in.

That said I don’t think Moyes wants players who don’t want to be here so struggling to see the Fofana one happening. Would be a great statement if it did though.

Think people are forgetting ndiaye will be away at AFCON for a massive chunk of the season. 5 goes down to 4 with that alone let alone injuries
