Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Benfica fans seem to loathe him. Gives up 2-3 shots a game by panicking when pressed. Reckon he's decent when you have hardly any possession against better sides, but a liability if you want to hold onto it.

They said they'd drive him to the airport themselves for €15m. Not exactly a glowing endorsement. A loan maybe as an extra body would be ok, i guess, but nothing to be particularly excited about...
If the pressure in Portuguese League gets to him imagine how he’d crumble in the Prem.

Not sure about Luis. Looked good a couple years ago but has fallen off I think.

Feel like we *must* be in conversation with some banger DMs, purely because we're not involved with Magassa for 15m. If we were still trying to sniff out what's available we'd be throwing our hat in the ring there too surely.

How good is his pressing and work rate compare to Gana.

The last thing we need is a Schneiderlin level of half arse pressing.

We've had no link for him, but I just can't see past a late loan move for Zinchenko. Injury prone, yes. Coming off the back of a bad season, yes. But LB and DM cover, prem experience, national connection to Myko for 'easy' transition, not 'too' old (28) - seems the biggest no brainer.

The same can be said for Maitland-Niles as RB/DM cover but the concern there is that would legitimise that fella Toffee Transfers and that's just the worst thought

Like I said, we've signed some good players. Personally, at this moment in time, I'm not sure we've improved the squad to quite the extent that some people seem to think we have. A 7/10 window is fine, I literally said i'm not trying to be negative about it, but I don't need to be doing somersaults about us doing a bit of good business, that should be the absolute minimum requirement.
True and fair.
Still we are still just recovering from Moshiri/Koeman [Poor language removed] show. Picked up good ones along the way, Pickford, Tarks, Branners, Garner, then Jake and Ndaiye, but this just feels different. 5/10 seemed liked the standard, now it's proper business like.
