Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Miserable arse here, but if this window closes without some genuine pace adding - it's a big failing.
Rapid RB & a Rapid WF/WM (probably a predominantly right footed right midfielder) - absolutely vital.

Some half decent veteran forward (don’t know if they exist) & a good/high potential defensive midfielder!Would be the icing on the cake.

Would you be happy if was at rb and maybe the striker if we bring one in

I think it's this;

We really need some pace out wide, and a forward who can hold the ball. Not sure if that's Barry yet, but feels like he's similar to Beto/needs space to run into.

Irogegbunam and Armstrong will only be ready when they show theyre ready. I think if we use both substantially this season then end of the season they should have shown theyre ready for next season. To hit the ground running.

If we sign someone that leaves 6 midfielders for 2 positions. What other clubs have so many?

Hector Fort or another similar profile player would be ideal.

This season if the younger players can step up then next season we should reap massive benefits.

That right back area is an immediate need to bring in a player. Not sure theres anything more immediate.
Agreed about their need to play and we have to give them opportunities. But it's not 5 for 2 since Garner is a backup on RB/LB, KDH is also used as ACM, Gana is gone for 8 matches or so. To me a midfield where we have to pmay Tim and Harrison together is too light for the PL. And because of all the utility midfielders/injuries and Gana leaving AFCON thats a very possible situation. I would love a loan slot for an experienced DM.

RB we should buy, DM and possible striker for loan. Transferwindow done 😉

I assumed our Right Wing purchase would be the injection of pace but Dibling is not really that. It's why I was really keen on Fofana.

After years of scraping the barrel I'm struggling to get my head around the fact we might buy another player for that position as well as Dibling and rotate our squad more.

Agree on Barry somewhat, you can see his holdup play is superior to Beto but his physicality/running with the ball is worse (IMO). At least I feel he will improve with games, Beto’s effectiveness depends on his moodiness, which I’m not into any more.

Pace is vital to be added & I don’t know if it’s PTSD from the last x years, but I have this horrific feeling we won’t address this issue.
