It's beyond parody now, lads had two starts been directly involved in 3/4 of the goals this season - and getting slated by people calling out to sign junk yard dogs like Brownhill and Soucek.

It’s been like that for ages. People still think 30m is a lot of money. A prime striker is closer to 150m nowadays. Football inflation has been massive.

He’d have had a goal last night if Armstrong had squared.

On that note, Armstrong seems to be a quick learner. Second half in the same position he squared it and we scored. That’s massively encouraging.

I watched him for about 20 mins in the warm up having shots, didn't get one in. Thought he did nothing in the game also and they are a poor team, slightly concerned about him. Hope I'm wrong like but hasn't came in and made any sort of impact in my opinion.

Can’t understand people slating him at all. Hes clearly a very talented lad, some of the flashes we’ve seen have been brilliant. They are just flashes at the moment and he can look a bit lost at other times so I get the question marks on whether he’s ready to be the main man just yet but he’s obviously got a lot about him and big potential.

Looks like a guy who will get very frustrated very quickly, must have been the slowest walk ever when he was subbed for Beto last night.

I’d like us to keep on playing him as you can see he’s got something about him, if Beto gets a few coming off the bench then that could work.

It would be great if we can sign a better forward than both, but the chances of that happening between now and the end of the window are none.

It's ridiculously early to judge but not seen much from this lad that he can put the ball in the net regularly at this level, he just doesn't' look a threat in the box. I actually prefer Beto up front... think we need to get in a proven striker before close of window even if it's on loan or whatever. P.S. hope Barry makes me eat my words!

This. For me he needs to bulk up and develop a bit more game awareness but he has high potential

I seem to disagree with most in this feed. I've seen enough already. Doesn't seem to be able to do anything right. headers the ball like his got a 50p head, can't hold the ball up, can't run with the ball, can't break the line as he looks like his running in custard. I'm i completely wrong?

Couple of times last night he essentially made himself available for a one or two touch finish inside the box, wasn't found. Once his team mates start looking for him, he'll get goals

He's doing most things right but he's snatching a tad at chances he gets / is in two minds. Can tell he needs a goal just to calm himself down a bit and realise he has the quality, just be patient with it. Worth remembering that he's still young and learning.

I actually can't recall of a single good chance he has had, aside from a fluffed one on one in pre-season.

You can see that his movement is creating the opportunities, but his team mates haven't quite worked out where to be when he makes his runs or find him when he does.

Prime example yesterday when he was set through with a ball over the top that Alcaraz took off his toe

Some people's views on this lad is absolutely laughable. He has got great promise. Looking forward to him developing.

Some of our fans haven’t got a clue. The RS paid 120m for Wirtz and he’s done absolutely nothing. Barry just needs time, but you can see he has good potential. He’s already better than Beto.

He was fine, watched him quite close in first half...his movement was good, but players not finding him yet.

They will in time....and Armstrong should have put one across for an empty net for him.

I like him, but a few aoorund me clearly already decided they dont like him, so have to wonder why some ppl do that.
