Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Interestingly, same height as Andy Gray. Didn’t realise Ndiaye was that tall even
Heh, then maybe I’m underestimating the lad. But then, Andy Gray was a Scot, and that adds an extra stone or two of pure attitude 😜

Plus I’m a keen bodybuilder so anyone under 14 stone just sounds tiny to me 😜😜

This DM we all way to sign
Who does he replace in the side
Gana or KDH or will he be signed for cover / rotation
Gana was one of our top players last season
Need to stop looking at it like that. With 5 subs, the game has totally changed. We need another body in there. Plus, Gana will get tired in games due to his age, plus Gana will be going to the AFCON for about 8 games.

Seems the transfer bedwetters have moved their goalpost again
I find that to be a pretty devisive comment for a fan forum, but I guess division is all the rage these days. I mean we can disagree, but Im going on the assumption that we are all Everton fans at least? Stick me in the "pleasantly surprised and content fence-sitters" contingent then:)

We need a midfielder

Gana, Garner, Armstrong, Iroegbunam, KDH = 5 players for 2 positions.

Garner/Armstrong can be the 6 but I'd probably loan Armstrong until Jan.

If we brought in a top young player that adds a lot of value long term then signing a midfielder this window makes sense.

But numbers and ability wise we have enough.

For me, i'd love to see us sign Hector Fort

Would be very nice to get a young, high potential DM in but the "6 for 2 positions" might be a bit optimistic. I think Armstrong and Tim are not quite ready yet to see as full blown options. Especially since Gana is off to AFCON it might be worthwhile to get a quality loan option for the DM. An experienced loanie would help us out this year without interfering with the development of the talented youngsters. And next year invest heavy on a DM to fade Gana out.
