Aye maybe, and probs won’t spend any money there after Barry. I just want a striker that’s got a much cleaner touch.

Tend to think we still need one you can hit with their back to goal (this is a Moyes team, for all the low sock-wearing mavericks we've signed, he'll still be telling them to go back to front at times), but yeah - a striker with a clean touch is what we are crying out for

You cant solve everything in one window. The strikers aren't ideal but its fine.

They would learn a lot more

Barry has literally just demonstrated that among his best attributes is a quality first touch mate, surely? His 3 goal contributions in the last two games using said first touch would back this up.

If anything it’s an ability to make space in the box and clinical finishing that we are missing, at least for me

I’d say he has a very unreliable first touch tbh.

If Chermiti was left out as he’s going on loan then Armstrong mustn’t have anything imminent lined up

The way he quietly got 2 assists and barely lost possession at all tonight, I’d definitely be keeping him around.

Delap would have been really good for us I think. I rate Barry on what I’ve seen and think he’ll be good for us, but Delap has that ability to receive the ball and turn, defenders be damned. Like Yakubu or Lukaku had for us. We don’t really have that at the moment - Barry has the technique but not yet the power or confidence, and Beto has the power but no first touch

Think Barry will get up to speed and improve his physicality only young and has had quite a rapid rise

Fair enough mate. I’ve liked what I’ve seen of his technique so far, but each to their own Most important thing is he grows into his role and gives us something to cheer, as I’m sure we both hope he will

He's done enough to warrant some decent minutes with the first team surely?
