He’s good enough and hopefully continues to get better. He’s suffered from being a cog in an awkward machine.
Unfortunately, KDH makes it more awkward for him, not less.
DM has some good options for tactical shifts but getting KDH, Grealish, and Garner on the field together is challenging. They sort of step on each other’s toes.
If Garner plays, it should be deep, which pushes KDH up the field and forces Grealish wide, which conflicts with NDiaye or Dibling.
A good problem for DM to have, but perhaps a harsh result on Garner.

Not been this guys biggest fan tbh, but has done ok at left back and great goal at the weekend! Feel his versatility is key and can cover in several positions!
However, best game I have seen him is that United pre-season friendly.
If we have all players fit and ready (and we don't sign a DCM), I would like to see him playing that deep role. Comfortable on the ball, can take it off the defenders and start something. Good in the tackle and often works very hard to get the ball! Good distribution.
Just needs to remain disciplined and stay in that position!
Also gives the opportunity if pressing high up the pitch or from set pieces to come on to balls outside of the box and hit them like we know he can!

I hope we renew his contract pretty soon or he can walk away for nothing at the end of this season, if I’m correct.
Hopefully we concentrate on contract renewals after 1st September. That should be on the priority list!
We have Keane (leave), Tarks (another year or 2), Garner (extend) and Myko (depends if we can get replacements)...
But still we shouldn't be letting these players be leaving on a free... as just in Keane and Myko alone these are over in transfer fees we have paid!
