Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Barry had some promising link up play Sunday. I think it would be prudent to sell Beto and bring in a striker with a different style of play. Very few will agree with me, but if we sold Beto, used that money to invest in a proper cm and brought in Vardy on a free Id be happy. I think Vardy would bag us quite a few goals this season coming off the bench.
Beto gives you pace, but I'd sacrifice that for someone who can play with their back to goal, with a good touch and technically decent.

So much of our play breaks down when it goes into the front man that I'd be happy to sacrifice that threat in behind that he gives you

Can’t see Beto going unless another striker comes in.

Numbers wise, I think we’re ok for players who can play in McNeils position(s), but I’d prefer to keep him. Any injuries to Grealish/Ndiaye and it starts looking a bit bleak again in terms of players who can make stuff happen.

We were linked with the young striker at Villarreal (another one) the other day like

Anyone reckon we'll see any sales?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Beto or McNeil leave if a decent offer comes in.
I personally think it would be a mistake to sell either of them (depending, of course, on who we sign in the next few days) but I could definitely see it. Particularly McNeil, something seems to have gone awry between him and Moyes, imo.

Vardy is a horrible racist weasel, and wouldn’t come cheap because he is also a mean , grasping , greedy cretin .

Just a hunch we'd sell McNeil for the right price, and Beto provided we can get a striker of the profile Moyes would prefer.

Credible reports like Athletic saying we'd like another striker, and can't see us keeping Beto if that's the case.
Still don't think the Fofana thing is over myself, reckon something will happen maybe the last few days, if it does McNeil goes same day.

I'd be curious what market is out there for each.

They both strike me as being part of the group where Everton is the highest peak they will reach and will be reluctant to leave for less money.

I think Beto is happy here but McNeill might want to find somewhere he can start regularly again.
McNeil is on 25k pw mate, absolutely nothing really and would get a better contract if he moved
