Re-claiming the city of Liverpool

Funniest thing I read over the spring was Jurgen's on the Strand getting binned off for a more blues-friendly boozer with the new stadium now open. Owners shamelessly chasing the bag
I think he is actually a blue
They used to use Ned Kelly's on Victoria st 10-15 years ago. Think they might still use it under its new name (Victoria Cross)?

The Blob Shop was always a red pub too.
Not really surprising when you see the clientele in there.
Obviously they had the Yankee as well and I think one in Williamson square but we’re all talking about years ago aren’t we .

They drink by the ground , city has always been ours but we’re full on setting up home there now .

I was in the Victoria Cross after the game and it was all blues in there. Probably cause nobody could fit in anywhere else, but one of the girls behind the bar came back after supporting a sister pub amd couldn't belive how busy all the pubs were. She was shocked at just how many people were in town. Weather and occasion helped like, but its all very positive stuff.

I feel like naturally those pubs close to the stadium will be "Everton" bars; Bramley Moore, Blue House, Invisible wind factory, Ten Streets social, Murphy's Distillery, The Terrace, The Royal Crest, etc. I think most people, if they are travelling down to the stadium via the town centre people will possibly get close to the stadium as quickly as possible.

After the game is possibly a different story people might hang around those bars, or head back towards the main train stations and bus stations. I do remember though that when we were at Goodison we had the highest number of fans walking to the game on a matchday, so many may be heading back towards North Liverpool
